  • Develop, assess, and publish verified IEC materials in multiple languages and formats.
  • Build a centralized childhood cancer information hub through the ICCI website and digital channels.
  • Create and implement a unified content calendar for national and international childhood cancer events.
  • Produce India-specific patient information videos to fill visual educational gaps.
  • Strengthen ICCI’s digital presence through structured website upgrades and coordinated social media strategy.
  • Ensure continuous updating and refinement of the ICCI website so that content, structure, and design remain accurate, user-friendly, and responsive to evolving needs.

Glimpses of Work

Context

A survey of 46 Taskforce members identified 11 key national and global childhood cancer awareness dates.

On International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD), ICCI conducted a webinar on “Developing a Roadmap for Childhood Cancer Service Delivery in India.”

This calendar will provide a shared rhythm for awareness, advocacy, and collective action.

A total of 459 IEC materials were collected from 43 national and international organizations. After multi-stage screening and scoring (using CRAAP and SMOG tools), 64 high-quality materials were approved and published on the ICCI website.

Impact
  • Built a verified resource library for India.
  • Increased accessibility to multilingual content.
  • Supports early diagnosis, myth-busting, infection control, survivorship, and more.
  • Empowers families, healthcare teams, and NGOs with credible tools.

ICCI now has verified and branded accounts across platforms:

A unified social media strategy and content calendar have been developed.

  • Expands ICCI’s visibility and credibility.
  • Strengthens public awareness of symptoms, early diagnosis, and access pathways.
  • Builds a unified national narrative on childhood cancer.

Seven new India-specific patient information videos are being produced to fill key content gaps.

The video shoot was successfully completed at Tata Memorial Hospital and St. Jude India ChildCare Centres on 8–9 October 2025.

The project is now in editing and post-production, with the first draft expected by 10 November 2025.

Expected Impact

These videos will provide accessible, culturally relevant education to families and will be integrated across the ICCI website and social media.

A full evaluation of ICCI’s website is underway in partnership with PatientsEngage.

An initial consultation with Taskforce members helped identify:

  • Key audience categories
  • Website goals and scope
  • Consensus that the ICCI website should function as a directory and signposting platform, not a bulk content creator.
Expected Impact

A more user-centered, inclusive, and accessible platform aligned with the needs of patients, caregivers, professionals, and policymakers.
